Welcome aboard! Getting your photos into Fotello is as easy as dragging and dropping—and we mean that literally.

The Quick How-To:

Pop open your SD card or desktop folder, then just drag and drop your RAW photos right into Fotello. That’s it. You’ll see your previews load instantly so you can make sure everything’s there.

Best Practices Before You Upload:

  • Keep filenames as-is
Don’t rename your files. Your files contain important metadata like timestamp that helps us automatically group your brackets which is key to making sure your edits come out clean.

  • No need to pre-process anything
Seriously. No Lightroom, no resizing, no color tweaks. Just raw files, straight from camera. Let Fotello handle the heavy lifting.

If You’re Not Seeing Previews…

We’ve got you. Here are a few things to check if your images aren’t showing previews:

  • Camera settings:
Some cameras settings might have turned off saving embedded previews in RAWs. That’s totally fine, just change the camera settings and you'll be good for your next shoot. Secondly, the files will still edit, you just won’t see a thumbnail until the edit is done which might impact bracketing or interior/ exterior tag selection.

  • Browser issues:
If you’re using Brave or a similar privacy-focused browser, previews might be blocked. We recommend Chrome or Safari for the best experience.

  • Extensions getting in the way:
Ad blockers or script blockers can interfere with previews. Try disabling extensions and refreshing your tab.

Final Tip:

Don’t stress. If something looks off, you can always reupload in incognito window or message our team - we’ve got your back.
